Terms and Conditions of Sale
Effective from 5 October 2026.
These terms apply when you buy the Independent Guide to DVLA Medical Licence Decisions (the “kit”) through this website. Please read them before you buy. They don’t affect your statutory rights as a consumer.
1. Who we are, and who sells the kit
DL Guide is a trading name of Vighnesh G Warrier, of G1204, Sumadhura Eden Garden, Whitefield, Bengaluru, Karnataka 560067, India, based in India. Email: [email protected]. In these terms “we” and “us” means DL Guide.
Payment is taken by Dodo Payments, the merchant of record for your purchase. That means Dodo Payments is the reseller that sells the kit to you, takes your payment, charges and pays the VAT, sends your receipt and download links, and handles any refund or payment dispute. Your purchase is also covered by the Dodo Payments Buyer Terms, which you agree to at checkout. The kit itself, and the promises in these terms about what it is and what you may do with it, come from us.
2. What you’re buying
A digital download of 11 files, the same for every buyer: a 35-page A4 PDF guide with 303 fillable fields, a deadline calculator (.xlsx) and 9 editable letter templates (.docx). The edition is DLG-DVLA-2026-10, current as at October 2026. It covers DVLA decisions in England and Wales, with Scotland as a note only; it does not cover Northern Ireland.
The kit is information and templates only. No service is included: nobody reviews your case, completes or sends anything for you, or represents you. You’ll need a PDF reader that supports forms, Word (or an app that opens .docx files) and Excel. The calculator is made for Excel; it can be imported into Google Sheets, where sheet protection is not kept.
3. Price and VAT
The price is £39 incl. VAT, paid once and charged in pounds sterling. There is no subscription and nothing else to pay. VAT is included in the price, and checkout shows the same total, with the VAT part, before you pay.
4. Delivery
Straight after payment, Dodo Payments emails your receipt and download links to the address you give at checkout. Download every file and keep a copy. If nothing arrives, check your spam folder, then email us with the email address you used and we’ll help.
5. Immediate download and your right to cancel
When you buy online you normally have 14 days to change your mind. For digital content that isn’t supplied on a physical medium, the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013 allow the download to start within those 14 days only if you give your express consent and acknowledge that you will lose the right to cancel once it starts. By completing checkout you accept the Dodo Payments Buyer Terms, which record your consent to immediate download and your acknowledgement that you lose the right to cancel once the download begins. So once your download has begun, you can’t cancel for a change of mind. If you haven’t started any download, our Refund and Cancellation Policy explains how to cancel.
Our refund policy, word for word:
Instant digital download. If a file you bought is faulty (it won’t open, is corrupted or is incomplete), tell us within 24 hours of purchase and we’ll send a working copy or refund you in full. Because you agree at checkout to immediate download, we don’t offer refunds for change of mind. This doesn’t affect your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.
How to report a faulty file is in our Refund and Cancellation Policy.
6. Your statutory rights
Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, digital content must be of satisfactory quality, fit for its purpose and as described. If it isn’t, you’re entitled to have it repaired or replaced, and if that isn’t possible, or isn’t done within a reasonable time and without significant inconvenience to you, to a price reduction, which can be a full refund. If faulty digital content we supply damages your device or other digital content, and that happened because we didn’t use reasonable care and skill, you may be entitled to a repair or compensation. Nothing in these terms takes away or limits those rights. Citizens Advice can explain them.
7. The licence
You’re buying a licence to use the kit, not the copyright in it. What you may and may not do with the guide, the calculator and the letters is set out in the licence, which is the kit’s own licence page, word for word.
8. Information, not advice
The kit explains the process DVLA and the courts publish. It is general information, not legal advice or medical advice, and it doesn’t tell you whether you are fit to drive or whether section 88 covers you. It doesn’t guarantee any outcome. You decide what to send to DVLA or a court, and you’re responsible for checking it, and for checking GOV.UK before you rely on a date or an address. Not affiliated with DVLA, the Department for Transport, HM Courts & Tribunals Service or any government body. See the disclaimer.
9. Editions and updates
You get the edition on sale on the day you buy. Rules, addresses and DVLA’s guidance change, and later editions may be published. They’re sold separately and aren’t included in this purchase.
10. Our responsibility to you
We’re responsible for loss or damage you suffer that is a foreseeable result of our breaking these terms or failing to use reasonable care and skill. We are not responsible for loss that wasn’t foreseeable, for decisions made by DVLA, a court or anyone else, or for what happens to a letter after you send it. We supply the kit for personal use; if you use it for a business, we have no liability to you for business losses.
We don’t exclude or limit our liability where it would be unlawful to do so, including for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for breach of your rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.
11. If something goes wrong
Please email us first; we reply within 2 working days. For payment questions you can also contact Dodo Payments. Its Buyer Terms ask you to contact it before raising a chargeback with your bank, and its page Why do I have a charge from Dodo Payments? explains the charge on your statement.
12. Law and courts
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. If you live in the UK, you can bring proceedings in the courts of the part of the UK where you live, and you keep the protection of the consumer law that applies there.
13. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms, for example when the law or the kit changes. The terms that apply to your purchase are the ones shown on this page on the day you buy. The effective date is at the top.
